I got a new truck because I was sick of fixing my hooptie junk, and now I gotta fix hooptie junk. This time my wife’s grandma’s.

She’s got a 03 Focus ZX3 (auto, sorry jalops) that started pissing coolant from the thermostat housing. She also has ONE of the four* front brake pads worn to metal on metal. So I’m doing those too.

Buy a contour thermostat housing, and use a 1/8 npt plug to plug the extra hole. Everything else is the same. Every focus with a zetec has a leak from the housing.

Hold on a sec... what happened to the fourth pad? Did it get ate up?

I think so.... her daughter gave it to her many moons ago and it hasn’t been driven/serviced much since. She literally drives to the store and church and back once a week.

I put tires on it 5 or so years ago and they still look brand new.

It does have a nasty vibration in gear I am hoping is just a motor mount...
